New medical device, Alpha-Stim(R) SCS can safely treat anxiety, depression and insomnia

Effective drugless treatment now available with prescription

- - - -

Anxiety affects everyone. From traffic jams to family problems; from job pressures to the death of a loved one -- nobody escapes anxiety. Anxiety can also manifest itself in many ways, resulting in insomnia, depression and can eventually lead to more serious medical conditions. Now, there is a new drugless therapy -- the Alpha-Stim(R) SCS -- that effectively treats anxiety, depression and insomnia. The Alpha-Stim(R) SCS is available with a doctor's prescription.

The Alpha-Stim(R) SCS is safe, effective and affordable -- especially when compared to the ongoing costs and potential side effects -- of medication!

While the product is new, the technology behind the Alpha-Stim(R) SCS has been tried and tested in five generations of products. Eighteen years ago, Dr. Daniel L. Kirsch, a neurobiologist, founded Electromedical Products International, Inc. (EPII), introducing his proprietary Alpha-Stim(R) wave form to an amazed medical industry with the Alpha-Stim(R) 2000 series, which were large, bulky clinical devices. With the computer revolution came electronic miniaturization, and in a unit that fits in the hand and works perfectly in both clinical and home-use applications.

Alpha-Stim's(R) therapeutic abilities have been hailed the world-over for its ability to relieve even the toughest anxiety, and has survived the scrutiny of the scientific community and rigorous medical testing. Alpha-Stim(R) microcurrent technology has been praised in the press from all corners including The Los Angeles Times, USA Today, The Seattle Post-Intelligencer, The Houston Chronicle, The Denver Post, The Saturday Evening Post, Rolling Stone, OMNI -- just to name a few publications, and in excess of seven hours of television news coverage. There are stacks and stacks of patient and doctor testimonials. The technology has been used by entertainers like Cloris Leachman and professional athletes like Dallas Cowboys' All-Pro running back Emmitt Smith.

The Alpha-Stim(R) SCS uses a process called Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation (CES) as a treatment for anxiety, depression and/or insomnia. CES uses minute specialized electrical impulses to achieve a relaxed state that leaves the mind alert. First introduced in the U.S. during the 1960's, EPII has learned how to harness this harmless process thanks to its unique, patented microcurrent wave form to relieve anxiety, depression and/or insomnia, thanks in part to modern technology.

The single channel instrument employs Alpha-Stim(R) wave form at 0.5 Hz with current ranging from 10 - 500 microamperes. It has two timer settings at 20 and 60 minutes for effective Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation (CES). Like the Alpha-Stim(R) 100 it operates on readily available 9v alkaline batteries.

It is the company's belief Alpha-Stim(R) SCS is a perfect alternative to drugs. The Alpha-Stim(R) SCS is considered so safe that it is sold in Europe and other countries over-the-counter.

Alpha-Stim(R) microcurrent technology is registered with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), has earned the "CE" regulatory mark in Europe and the Underwriter's Laboratories' (UL) classified rating -- the standard of electronic safety testing. EPII also makes the Alpha-Stim(R) 100, a more complex device which also treats pain in addition to anxiety, depression and insomnia, in both clinical and home use.
