M O S T C E N S O R E D - - - - America's Most Talented Cats! Itchy, a 3-year-old tuxedo cat with a fuzzy gray beard, is a cordial kitty who says "Gesundheit" every time he hears someone sneeze. Then there's George, a real-life cat burglar. The 8-year-old Maine Coon mix with the steely-eyed stare pilfers items from his neighbors' yards. So far he has scaled fences for 15 garden gloves, a 6-foot elastic bandage, a bandanna [sic], a roll of masking tape, three soccer shin pads and much more. Itchy and George are two of six winners in a nationwide talent contest conducted by CAT FANCY magazine and The Iams Company. From those six, we selected one overall grand prize winner: None other than Itchy, the Gesundheit cat. All winning photos and essays appear in CAT FANCY's September issue, on sale Aug. 6. Contest winners fell into one of three categories: Terrific Tricks, which includes cats that are self-taught or inspired by a willing human; Eclectic Entertainment, which exposes the unusual rituals cats plot to entertain themselves; and Creative Communication, which covers cats' innovative methods of getting exactly what they want, like food or attention.
