World's First Posthumous Email Service Sends Your 'Final Thoughts'; Dealing With Death is Easier When You Plan Ahead

- - - -

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- A new website, http://www.finalthoughts.com, officially launches today at the PBS-sponsored leadership training conference in Miami Beach, Florida. The conference, taking place at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel, kicks-off a national outreach effort to improve end-of-life care.

FinalThoughts.com makes dealing with end-of-life issues easier by allowing registered members to organize their thoughts, wishes, and estate plans in a confidential email message that will be securely stored by FinalThoughts.com and then transmitted to designated recipients upon the member's death. The stored message can be as simple as just saying "goodbye" or can include a detailed plan for distributing personal property.

Free to registered members, this innovative website is expected to appeal to people of all ages, but particularly to seniors, the terminally ill, person's in high-risk careers (i.e. police, firefighters), professionals with their own practice (i.e. medical, legal) and the technology-oriented.

Once a person joins FinalThoughts.com, they are entitled to create an unlimited number of email messages to be stored and sent in the event of their death to any number of specified recipients. A "guardian angel" (close friend, relative, attorney) is designated to activate delivery of the message(s) upon the member's death. The website is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to allow members to add, delete or modify their messages at any time.

In addition, FinalThoughts.com members may complete and attach one or more online forms that enable them to share with their loved ones important decisions such as how they want their personal property distributed, what type of funeral arrangements they want, who will care for their pet, etc. These forms are available at no extra charge.

Exciting plans for future enhancements include giving members the option of sending video and audio emails of themselves, and broadcasting their funeral over the Internet.

FinalThoughts.com is the brainchild of its founder and President, Todd Michael Krim. Todd received his Bachelor of Arts, Juris Doctor and Masters of Public Health from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and is licensed to practice law in the State of California and the District of Columbia. Todd's professional experience includes conducting research for CIGNA Services, U.K. Limited, in London, England, interning on The Presidential Task Force for Health Care Reform, serving as a law clerk for the American Psychological Association in Washington, D.C., and maintaining an associate position at Konowiecki & Rank, LLP, a Los Angeles-based health care law firm. Todd's most recent legal position has been serving as Corporate Counsel for a leading Internet company in Silicon Valley.
