Packaging and Branding: Interbrand Wins 3 Awards for P&G's Eclipse and 2 For Kellogg's NutriGrain Twists Brands

- - - -

NEW YORK, Oct. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Interbrand Gerstman + Meyers, the brand identity and packaging unit of Interbrand, has received key industry awards for its work in integrating packaging into branding for Procter & Gamble's Eclipse drink brand and Kellogg's NutriGrain Twists snack brand.

Richard Gerstman, President of Interbrand Gerstman + Meyers, said, "Eclipse and NutriGrain Twists illustrate powerful trends in the grocery aisle. First, the competitive imperative of extending successful brands, in this case, Sunny Delight and Kellogg's NutriGrain. And second, the migration within the grocery aisle of food products that are consumable at any time of the day or night. Packaging is an essential element of the branding strategies that make this possible."

Interbrand received:

-- The American Graphic Design Award for its work with P&G on packaging for Eclipse and with Kellogg's for NutriGrain Twists.

-- The 29th Creativity Annual Award for its work on Eclipse and NutriGrain Twists.

-- The 6th Annual Beverage Packaging Global Design Award for its work on Eclipse.

At the same time, the company also noted that it was cited in the Creativity Annual Awards for work done for Whitehall Robins' Honey Cough brand, Minute Maid Company's Hi-C Blast, and the redesigned Exact brand, as well as a promotional video for UNICEF.

Interbrand Group, part of Omnicom Group Inc. (NYSE: OMC), is the world's leading branding consultancy. Interbrand offers a comprehensive array of consulting services to assist in the creation, enhancement, maintenance and valuation of a company's most valuable assets -- its brands.
