Jenn Shapland is a nonfiction writer living in New Mexico. Her essays have been published in Tin House, Essay Daily, The Lifted Brow, Electric Literature, and The Millions. She won a 2017 Pushcart Prize for nonfiction. She teaches creative writing at the Institute of American Indian Arts. Her first book, The Autobiography of Carson McCullers: A Memoir, will be published in 2020 by Tin House Books.
