Jehad al-Saftawi is a documentary journalist, photographer, and videographer dedicated to social justice and human rights storytelling. His work has been featured in Reuters, AJ+, BuzzFeed, Mic, Al Jazeera, the Huffington Post, and elsewhere. He arrived in the US from Gaza in 2016 and is currently seeking asylum. He is internationally recognized for setting up one of the few live streams documenting the 2014 Israeli offensive on Gaza.
