Student Short Story Contest

At long last, we’re thrilled to announce the results of our Curtis Sittenfeld–helmed Student Short Story Contest—our winner is Haris A. Durrani, whose work will be published in a forthcoming issue of McSweeney’s Quarterly. In the meantime, you can read his story “Forty-Two Reasons Your Girlfriend Works for the FBI, CIA, NSA, ICE, S.H.I.E.L.D., Fringe Division, Men in Black, or Cylon Overlords” at the Buffalo Almanack, and check out an excerpt of his just-released debut novella, Technologies of the Self, at Brain Mill Press.

Honorable mentions go to Ian Bassingthwaighte and Rachel Stone. We thank all of our entrants for submitting their work.
