Dear Mrs. Obama,

Hi, my name is Desani. I’m in the fourth grade. I’m originally from New York City. I’m rich, but I live in a small house. My aunt has a big house like yours, but she doesn’t have a bowling alley. What do you like most about living in the White House? What I like is the bowling alley (I think you have one), playground, and theater. What I love about you is you’re smart and you have a sense of humor.

Sincerely,
Desani Grant, age 8
Washington, DC

Dear Michelle Obama,

My name is Ivette Paz. I live in Los Angeles and go to a charter school. The main topic on everyone’s minds these days is the slower economy. Creating jobs and making sure programs have enough money can be hard. One way is to make jobs for teachers who are being laid off. Teachers are an important part of our society and are treated very unfairly. They should get more money than a hotel manager.

Sincerely,
Ivette Paz, age 12
Los Angeles

Dear Mrs. Obama,

You make great speeches. You are such a great person. I saw some of your videos on a computer. I really like those videos. When I saw you in one of the videos I laughed when I saw you dancing.

Love,
