In 2017, the United States has seen a substantial decline in international tourism. The tourism industry has already reported sharp declines resulting in billions of dollars lost to our overall economy. To combat this loss, the current administration is looking to the past and resurrecting the “See America” poster ad campaign Franklin D. Roosevelt commissioned and the Works Progress Administration created in the mid-1930s in response to the Great Depression. Struggling artists were used at the time to promote landscapes and wildlife of America’s parks in association with the U.S. Tourism Bureau. Since this administration is still feuding with the Park Services on both national and state levels, we’ve decided to focus more on general state and city sights and scenes that have Made America Great Again. It’s 2017, “See America NOW.”
